Why the visualization training?

There are many reasons to pick up a pencil and help yourself and others to make progress at work. For example:

• an idea is outlined, discussed and developed further together
• A picture brings clarity to a complicated process
• the sketchy presentation of different perspectives contributes to mutual understanding
• Live-drawn notes stay in your memory forever

Can everyone visualize?

Many people would like to put the images in their head on paper, but claim they can’t draw at all. That can be changed! If you never speak a foreign language, you get out of practice. But if you travel to a country where you are dependent on the language, the words suddenly come back and you learn new ones as if by magic. It’s the same with drawing: Anyone who engages intensively with the visual language together with others will playfully overcome inhibitions, activate dormant skills and learn quickly.

What is the aim of visualization training?

The aim of the visualization training is to (re-)activate the skills and fun of drawing. Tips and tricks help you to quickly achieve your first presentable result.

The aim is not for participants to practise the same symbols in the same drawing style, but to strengthen their individual skills. They are encouraged to discover, develop and use their visual language. Even after the seminar!

Method and documentation

• A lot of variety in the “learning mode” (imitating, playing, trying out, presenting, reflecting, … ) motivates the participants to pay close attention during the entire training.
• During the training, the first drawing solutions for your own topics are produced, which motivate you to continue!
• The content of the training is visualized live by the trainer. All documents are made available as a photo protocol afterwards.

Can visualization training also be carried out digitally/remotely?

I only conduct online training sessions when absolutely necessary. However, it makes sense to schedule an online follow-up shortly after the training. The contents of the half-day online session include

• Exchange of experience, questions and consolidation
• Introduction to online collaboration tools (Miro, Conceptboard,…)
• Digital drawing on a tablet in ProCreate and PowerPoint
