What Advantages Do Graphic Recordings and Strategy Images Offer when Planning and Communicating Sustainability Strategies?

A sustainability strategy pursues the goal of developing long-term viable solutions in which ecological, economic and social aspects are given equal consideration. It requires analyzing the interactions between companies, society and the ecosystem and deriving measures based on this to shape them positively. Almost all processes of an organization are affected.

Visualizations in the form of graphic recordings or strategy images can provide orientation both in the development phase and in the communication and implementation phase of a sustainability strategy.

Support through Graphic Recording in the Development Phase of a Sustainability Strategy

In the development of the strategy, many stakeholders with different understandings of the topic of sustainability are often involved. It needs a systematic approach that offers space for different perspectives. In such a situation, it helps to first record a basis, e.g. a value chain or a customer journey, in order to then analyze the influencing factors step by step, prioritize fields of action and develop measures.

Support through Target Images and Explanatory Video in the Communication and Implementation Phase of a Sustainability Strategy

Once the measures have been prioritized and concretized in work packages, the aim is to involve all levels of the organization and motivate them to implement them. A target image or explanatory video can be used to illustrate the necessity of a sustainability strategy and logically show the resulting measures.

My Strength: Visual Expertise AND Thinking along in Terms of Content

In my studies as an Industrial Design Engineer, I specialized in sustainable product development. I therefore know how to look at products and services over the entire life cycle, what possible adjusting screws are, and which methods can promote the finding of creative solutions. I was able to contribute this expertise professionally as a project manager at Sony’s Environmental Center Europe and later as a freelancer with visualizations of many sustainability strategies.
