Oikocredit Anniversary Event
Oikocredit, an investment pioneer which promotes sustainable development worldwide, celebrated its 40th anniversary. Together with investors and partners they looked back to the past and ahead to the future: What are the challenges we face in development finance? How can we stay true to our mission in a complex world? How can we continue to promote sustainable development?
I visualized Oikocredit’s mission to redistribute some of the world’s wealth to the benefit of disadvantaged people. The “irrigation” metaphor shows how investments are channeled to micro-finance, agriculture and renewable energy sectors, to fair trade organizations, cooperations and small to medium enterprises.
