Why Online Graphic Recording?

With remote work and globalization, not only meetings but also large conferences and workshops are increasingly taking place via video conferences. The big challenge here is to actively involve all participants. Online visualizations support this:

To clearly structure the online meeting for everyone
to promote exchange and creativity among participants;
to stay on track;
and to define and document the results.

How to Visualize Remotely/Online?

With an online graphic recording, I summarize your online meeting or video conferences “live”. The image is drawn on an iPad and either transmitted live in the video conference, or presented in between and at the end.

As a Remote Visual Facilitator, I support communication with visual methods and tools. I either use the client’s collaboration tools (e.g., with whiteboard function) or I add my own visualization tools (iPad, Miro). Often I prepare a “digital workshop room” with posters, templates, and inspiration images. In contrast to graphic recording, visual facilitation focuses more on supporting participant interaction than on visualizing content.

In online meetings, it is particularly important that the graphic recorder or visual facilitator is well-versed in the subject matter and the process: Unlike a presentation event, you can’t quickly consult to clarify a term or procedure. As an industrial designer with many years of management experience in large corporations, I have broad expertise and can classify complex topics and visualize them accurately.
